MONITORING AND EVALUATION REPORT FOR KAKAMEGA AND VIHIGA

PCEA, Kenya Holy Christ Mission, CEC Foundation, SDA, ACK and Muslim group (Namarambi, Shinyalu and Majengo) have on going micro-projects that were sponsored by ACT!.Most of the micro-projects are in their advanced stages with a few catching up.

This months M&E was to oversee the progress of the micro-projects, finding out if there are any challenges that the groups are facing and coming up with solutions for the same. Collection of data on the number of people that have been trained and thus copying was also key during this exercise.

The Muslim group (shinyalu and Namarambi) had faced challenges in purchasing the cows (due to quarantine) but this has since been lifted and the two groups have cows that are in calf. Shinyalu group received their cheque in Mid August and are now in the process of purchasing the chicks.

Generally, the groups are doing well with a few requiring guidance
