MOSHI FAITH NETWORK MEETING

The workshop brought together 25 high level faith leaders for Christian and Muslim faiths from the Northern region. During the opening plenary session, participants expressed their expectations as:

• Learning from Kenya’s experience in advancing the Faith-based ESD agenda – both for formal and for informal education

• The toolkit needed to be simplified in language and be translated into Kiswahili (or at least some sections) for suitability in primary schools.

• Cultural perspectives to be taken into account, while tapping into the rich indigenous knowledge from respective communities.
