ENVIRONMENT AND SPORTS ECO-GREEN CUP LAUNCH IN VIHIGA

The event was a launch of the Environment and Sports programme using football matches to bring together youth and community members.

The activities happened in three schools which are Emabwi, Emukhunzulu and Ebuyalu Primary Schools respectively.

The goals of the event were to sensitize the youth on the Youth and Empowerment project and Identify the teams and coaches who are going to participate in the project.

Sports encourages participation and brings people together. It contributes to the health and well-being of children and youth, is enjoyable, and transmits values such as fairness, tolerance, respect and discipline. When utilised in a pedagogically correct manner, sport enhances self-esteem and self-confidence and promotes responsible behaviour.
