RAIN WATER HARVESTING AT GISIRE ACADEMY

Gisire Academy is located Ntimaru Migori Town whereby through the Faithbased ESD Programme, KOEE established a water harvesting project.The school normally used about 1000L of water per day at Ksh. 20 per 20L i.e. without water tank. With the water tank installed, the school saves up to Ksh. 1,000 per day.The project saves time for fetching water thus more time for studying, improved sanitation creating more appropriate learning environment and all teachers use the project as a teaching/learning resource across all subjects.
